Massage Etiquette
*Please note: A $25 fee will be charged for any appointment not cancelled within 24 hours. Specific therapists are available upon request. If you would be more comfortable with a specific therapist please let us know. Otherwise, you will be scheduled with the therapist that is on staff at that day and time. Although we have a very safe and secure enviromnment, we cannot be responsible for loss or damage to your personal possessions. Please keep all possessions with you during your appointments. Special Health Issues Information regarding health issues is of vital importance to your massage therapist. Information such as medications, recent and chronic health conditions will determine how a massage is conducted. Please inform us of conditions such as: Pregnancy, Medications, Recent Surgeries, Recent Injuries, Recent Vehicular Accidents, All Muscle and Joint Issues, Allergies Children Although children are a delight, we do not have the means to entertain or take care of them. The Massage Room is a place for relaxation for all clients, so please make other arrangements for your children while you are receiving your massage. Massage for children under the age of eighteen will require a written consent from the parent or legal guardian. Cell Phones As a courtesy to other clients and staff please mute your phones upon entering the facility. Smoke-Free Environment The Dearborn Professional Building and we at The Massage Room as a courtesy to our clients offer a smoke-free environment. Method of Payment The Massage Room accepts Cash, Personal checks, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. *A $25 fee will be charged to your account for any return of checks. Fee must be paid in full prior to your next appointment. Gratuities Our greatest gift is your repeat business. We also benefit from your referrals to other clients. If you chose to leave a gratuity for your therapist please feel free to give it directly to him/her. Comments We, at The Massage Room value your opinions and suggestions. Please feel free to suggest any ways that we can improve your visit. Contact information can be found on the Contact page. Right of Refusal We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. This includes but is not limited to anyone who requests treatment or services that are outside of our scope of practice. We will exercise this right if anyone arrives for a treatment under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs, exhibits inappropraite behavior, or does not meet the standards of cleanliness. We reserve the right to charge for the session, whether or not the services were rendered, if we so choose.
